Antares

Antares is a binary star system in the constellation Scorpius consisting of a Red Supergiant and a Blue main sequence star. Antares A is the brightest star in the constellation Scorpius, as well as the 15th brightest star in the night sky. Antares A is often associated among the largest stars, with a radius of 680 Solar Radii. Antares A shares similarities with various red supergiants, such as R Horologii and Betelgeuse, with all three stars having similar size and temperature. Antares B is much dimmer than its much larger companion, making it much more difficult to see.
